This is really pretty! Well done! I don't know if you have considered submitting it as an official style but I'd love to see it at dreamscapes. :)

I'm incredibly new, so this is news to me. You can submit layouts to dreamwidth itself in hopes they'll use it?

Absolutely! The vast majority of styles and themes have been made by 'ordinary' users. As a thank you, you get points when the style becomes official. Intriguing! I probably wouldn't submit this layout because there's a few flaws (ie: the layout won't work on comment pages), but I'll keep it in mind for any future layouts I'll make! :3

It would be ok anyway. I don't know why it won't work but someone may have a solution for that, maybe using S2 instead of CSS. If you submitted it would probably get converted to a Tabula Rasa layout instead of a Crossroads one because TR is so much more flexible (and Crossroads is based on Tabula Rasa already). The only potential problem I see here is the images as I don't know if they're yours or licensed in such a way that the site could use them but that can be solved one way or another (by getting permission, using other similar images or using an image-free version). But it's up to you, of course. :)

I could do it with CSS, but if I did it that way I would have to restructure it all so it's similar to the layout but not exact (assuming of course DW has unique classes in the body tag for those pages, but I believe they do). I may do it when I next have free time for it and then think about submitting it.

I'll look into using Tabula Rasa as a base for any new layouts, I was wondering what the best base layout to use would be.

All the icons I used on there are from here which is free to use for commercial and free projects, so I imagine it could be used, but it'd be easy to email the iconmakers.

Seconding the dreamscapes suggestion; you can submit the CSS as is, with whatever limitations and it's usually adjusted to fit comment pages etc, by the converter.

Whatever you choose, this is absolutely gorgeous, thanks for sharing!

I'm glad there's a color you like!

Right now the comment pages are only half-styled because it was giving me a headache, so I'd feel bad sending it in, but whenever I get a chance to tweek it I'll seriously consider sending it in. :3 Thank you!

Also I agree. This would make a really good official theme. Especially since it lends itself well to so many different colors.

The one with the sidebar that stretches to the bottom only lends itself to 4 colors, unless someone knows photoshop to make their own BG, unfortunately. But the color only version would be good for easily swapping out colors.

I will seriously consider submitting it, I just hate the thought of sending it incomplete, even if they have people that work on such things haha. Thank you for the nice comment!
