This is my favorite of all the layouts posted here so far. I'd like to use it and add a header but css is not my strong point. I understand the language of it, but I'm no good at writing it. Is there any chance you could provide the code for a header and let me know where to stick it in the css?

i've add instructions on how to add a header here @ postage, actually. i forgot to include it here. ^^; basically, this is what you do. just add this to the #header tag.

background-image: url();
width: width in px;
height: height in px;

and add this to the #header h1 tag (so that the page title won't show).

display: none;

Using and credited, thanks. :) I've been fiddling with the colors a bit, and I seem to be unable to find what I need to change in order to change the background color on hover of the navigation links at the top of the page. If you could point me in the right direction, that would be fantastic! Otherwise, I'll resume poking at it when I'm not using my terrible work computer.

ah, that part. you'll have to tweak the .module-section-one ul li a:hover part. change the hex code in background-color: #333333; to any color you want.

Hmm, having done some more futzing about, I've run into a problem. The layout works perfectly when everything's on one page, but when you have more than the default 20 entries (and therefore the previous & next page links appear), the content boxes get pushed out of alignment. Here's a screencap of my reading page with your CSS to show you what I mean. You can just barely see at the top where the "previous 20" link is overlapped by the entry boxes.

Other than that, everything looks great. I just figured you'd like to know about the issue, since you're definitely better at this CSS thing than I am.
