That is a very striking look and that photo really makes it. I really love the look of the stars shining through a lot. Plus, I think this is the second ever light on dark theme I found comfortable to read.

You might want to have a look a wikimedia commons for panorama photos, lots of them have remix licences. I've gotten things from there before.

I took a quick look at the live preview and I noticed something you likely would never see unless you have a very wide display like I do, the "Powered by Dreamwidth" is way, way over on the right triggering a scroll bar. This seems to happen at very close to 1600 px for me--I opened up my inspect element panel and it popped right back into place.

You've floated it left, but it needs a clear: left on it to make it drop down below the other module for certain.

I should get down into Baltimore's Inner Harbor at night and take some pics -- we could do skylines for a bunch of major cities and call the style "City Skylines" or something like that ...

(okay, okay, I should wander down into the Inner Harbor and have sarah take pics. she's a much, much better photographer than I am.)

I had the same thought about doing lots of skylines :) First to code a liquid version of the layout, then to start working on alternate headers...

I'm not sure if it's my netbook or my font or what I did, but for some reason, I can't get the layout to sit in that nice, wide style that's in your preview. Mine seems all pinched and thin... Is it just me seeing it this way?

All the proportions look fine on my browser. Can you take a screenshot of the problem, put it on tinypic or something, and show me?
