Hey--I'm sort of toodling around with translating these into full fledged layouts, as an exercise since I've never done that before (although I have oodles of theory). Would that be a good/bad thing?

(In case that request doesn't make any sense, I'm turning your CSS into an S2 layout where users can go in and change the colors. This would also be a step towards making it an official layout if you like, but does not mean that unless you'd want that.)

Have at it! I actually started out using S2 variables on it, but didn't think anyone would really want to fool around with the border colors, so I went back to plain CSS -- which I then kicked myself for doing when I decided I wanted to make another color scheme.
