question (kind of a request maybe?)
i love layouts with multiple columns for posts, like this, this, this....
however, i don't find any of these on DW, except a single one made by killthecake, which i tried to edit but don't manage to make it fit my likes. so any tips or suggestions? i'd also be happy if someone actually made layouts that looked similar to the above ones since i enjoy minimalist style and tiny fonts.
edit: please don't reply with suggestions anymore, i have found solutions! i think this can stay open anyway, though, since other people might look for similar stuff and the suggestions here might be helpful for them.

i absolutely love PROOF. although both of these are NOT with 2 post columns. and most of these in the list were already known to me. :(
edit: i should add that i prefer layouts which don't require generating entirely new layers because i have so many saved already and it always tells me i have "too much" to generate new ones. i'm using it on this account now although it's not that useful here since i don't really do anything on this account.

I’m a little confused about what you mean about two column then, since when I opened the links to the IJ journals, they were all the exact same as the two column ones I linked - one column of navigation, and one column of posts. Maybe it’s because I’m on mobile? The two dw ones I linked wrap to single column on mobile which is nice because otherwise it’s very hard to read. But yes, if you mean two columns of posts (navigation sidebar extra) then I’m afraid I’m not familiar with any. You mentioned that
I’m not sure how many layouts require layers; proof was the first one I’ve seen that needed it.

most actually don't from what i observed unless it's when you import layouts that are made for other sites (insanejournal, livejournal). for almost all others you just select a base layout and add custom CSS.

And yes, that’s what I’ve noticed as well, so it was interesting to see a dw-specific layout use layers.
Good luck with your search! I saw you posted on style-system so hopefully someone else will have some ideas.
