The layouts I'm seeing in this community from you all appeal to me, but I don't exactly know how to install them. I downloaded the "leftovers" layout and set it up, but it didn't look quite right. Do they not work anymore or something? I hope this comment won't bother you, and I'm sorry if you're super busy and this distracts you; your layouts just look amazing to me.
It's been quite some time since the last time I did a layout (or even, installed one) for DW so... I'm sorry in advance if I will be no help.
Well first of all, in the Select Journal Style page, I picked the layout Tabula Rasa Plain for my journal, though I'm quite sure that any version of the Tabula Rasa would work, I always pick the Plain one. Then in the Custom CSS page, I put the codes for the layout Leftovers in the "Use embedded CSS" box, and made sure that the "Use layout's stylesheet(s)" option is unchecked. However the boxes and the navigation links in the sidebar seemed to be unordered (the navigation links were not on the top, etc) so I re-arranged them in the Modules tab.
I installed the layout on my DW account ( http://renoir.dreamwidth.org/ ) and it looks normal in my browser (Safari, with 1280 x 800 screen resolution). At this point, this is all I can help now, but if you have any further questions, feel free to ask and I'll try to answer :)
